SALES AND INVENTORY ASSOCIATE

Primarily at our Winfield location. Hourly pay based on experience ($20 - $24/hour).

Job Purpose: The Sales Associate is responsible for sales and product inventory (ordering and receiving).

Essential Functions: In alignment with the overall goals of Prairie Path Cycles, the Sales Associate will:

  • Facilitate customer care for sales both in store and online.
  • Oversee inventory, including ordering new products as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with the service department to assure optimal customer care.
  • Collaborate with our Batavia store to coordinate sales and product ordering.

Essential Skills:

  • Ability to work productively within the environment of the Prairie Path Cycles system.
  • Proven record of successful interaction with customers.
  • Ongoing professional development with Trek products and services.
  • Proven communication skills–both oral and written–to assure customer care and satisfaction
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, organize and prioritize tasks.
  • Experience in using Microsoft Windows and computer learning aptitude for new software such as Trek's proprietary software, Ascend.

BIKE MECHANIC/TECH

Primarily at our Winfield location. Hourly pay based on experience ($20 - $24/hour).

Job Purpose: The Sales Associate is responsible for sales and product inventory (ordering and receiving).

Experience: Mechanic experience: 1 year (Preferred)

Essential Functions: In alignment with the overall goals of Prairie Path Cycles, the Bike Mechanic/Tech will:

  • Complete bicycle service work orders in a timely manner.
  • Technical responsibilities: inventory and stock parts
  • Perform all service packages from basic to comprehensive
  • Perform a la carte services per service menu including, but not limited to: tire/tube replacements; cable and housing replacements; adjust/repair derailleur; adjust/repair brakes; replace/repair shifters; replace chain, cassette, bar tape/grips; wheel true and dish; drivetrain cleaning; disc brake and dropper post service; inspect and assess frame/components for damage or replacement
  • Assemble new bikes
